Its been awhile..... Sorry ;)
Here in Xico still. I am tired of all the people saying that John Smith wrote the book of Mormon! ja, ja but it still makes me laugh every time! Found a reference and he's cool. Hoping to find more peeps this week. Been kinda slow and not many people accepting us this week. 1. Contacted a reference and he's super good! 2. Explored a new part of my area called La Ceiba (apparently super dangerous) 3. Almost got bitten by crazy dog. TWICE. 4. Went to a place called Tlacuilotepec hiking! Hope everyone has a good week! Elder Dale. This week we had interviews with Pt. Kimball and enjoyed our Pday at a lake, it was near a place called Tenango de las Flores.
Enjoy the pics! Elder Dale. I have a new companion named Elder Perez. He's from Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas but lives in Guanajuato right now. I knew him from ym training and never really thought I would be his comp. Hes cool and we get along but I just hope we can make some real progress here in Xico!
Honestly, worthiness is everything! Worthiness is achieved through obedience to the commandments. Many people and missionaries are going home early because of this and we as this new generation of youth need to prepare ourselves for the temple. The temple is a sacred place where you can feel the spirit so strong. It is the house of the lord and should be a place of respect and worship. Obedience can only be archived through keeping the commandments. Reading the Book of Mormon. Praying daily and going to church and serving others are the basics! do everything it takes to keep yourselves out of satan's harm. he has way too many tricks up his sleeve that sadden me because I have seen too many people hurt from it! Think about who you want to be in the future. then after you prepare yourself and become worthy, think about your goals to achieve the eternal glory that our father in heaven wants for each and every one of us! If you have a worthiness problem, that is okay, because God still loves you. We can repent of anything we have done wrong. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we can realize that the commandments are a blessing and that we have a VERY BIG PURPOSE in this life! Prep for your missions and you will be able to love the people where you serve!!! Here are some pics for you. Elder Dale. Feliz Dia de Pascua!
Comparto este video....a ver si encontrais a mi tia Nuri en el minuto 0:23. Happy Easter! My aunt Nuri is at 0:23 Elder Dale. So an update is needed!
I am in Xicotepec de Juarez still. I am with Elder Perez. Hes a cool guy. We just had a baptism! of a little kid named Jared. I went hiking and got like 50 mosquito bites on just one leg!!!! super gnarly. Really pretty though! Xico is very hot and humid! Its wayy too much for me ;) I love this area though! WE have an investigator named Rene and hes getting ready for baptism. He has had a lot of trials in his life. His wife ia a member we reactivated. I am okay and still living the great mission life! hope everyone has a great week and that all can get closer to our father in heaven! Helaman 5:12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall. Elder Dale. This past week we had Stake Conference in a city called Tulancingo. On el dia de preparacion, we went hiking to a cave here in Xico! it was super cool! House checks at our apartment in Xicotepec.
Today I went to Huauchinango on my Pday to see my district leader. My comp and I are the only missionaries in Xicotepec, the rest of my district is in Huauchinango. I tried to contact the whole bus on the way back but my companion didn't want to so i went solo. :(
