If I have to run into someone who tells me I'm of the devil when they worship the devil, imma blow a gasket! haha jk. But I keep running into weird people. This week was great! And we are progressing a little but more in this area :) WOOT! my comp is from Yucatan. 1. Met many people who worship the ´´Santa Muerte´´. They leave cigs and beer in a place then it ´´magically´´ disappears an hour later, WOOOH. SPOOKY. 2. Got stuck in anther city last night and had to call my president because we couldnt get home, lol. He was like, ´´elder where are you. and i was like, in the middle of nowhere, haha! long story short, we found out that the public transportaton that day was shut down :) 3. Found a new way to make a mailbox (´´Buzon´´) :) I hope everyone is doing well. If you get the chance, read Matthew 16-18. Its got some cool miracles and parables of the savior :) Peace. Elder Dale. This week was a little bit slow with opening the area and all, but we found people who are interested and are slowly progressing! our area is so big and most of the members live in private neighborhoods that are super fancy so its hard to get in. but we got peeps on the inside to help out! I know its short but we've got limited time to write.
1. New comp Elder Ku. Hes super cool and loves to work. also he leaves in 5 weeks. 2. Dogs here are seriously getting on my nerves. keep trying to get me, ha ha 3. Area and members are awesome and we are trying to get a family to the Temple. Familia Santamaria Peace out. Here are some pics from the transfers and our District Leader Training. Elder Dale I got the call on Friday night that they were gonna close my area. I'm not even mad at the mission because the reason they close areas now, is because the youth of the generation aren't going on missions. We just sent home 18 missionaries and received 5. that's great, huh! well enough of my rant. My week was cool! We had a baptism and I did other cool stuff.
1. Lucia finally got baptized and shes very happy now. 2. Ordained a youth in the Bosques ward to the ofice of teacher. 3. Said Goodbye to the ward and other Recent Converts. It was good while it lasted. Anyways i got sent to an area called Las Torres. Its a very big area and I'm opening it with my comp (Elder Ku). Hes awesome and is also leaving this cycle (imma kill him real good!). My zone changed but i still have good leaders and they love to work hard. Lets hope i can get this area down! Elder Dale. This week has been a little bit weird with a bunch of stuff going on!
1. Investigators going well! Almost there! they just need a little extra push! 2. Ate korean food with a lady from korea in my ward. including the little mini squids she gave us! 3. Actividad in APAN. Great place. went went with the ysa in our stake to the area to help it out! a bunch of young RMs with desires to help´out our elders! Super cool! most came from my ward! 4. Ate a really good burger today from a place called Benjie´s. bacon and a fried egg is so diabetic! The mission is great and I'm learning more and more everyday! especially from other missionaries and RM´s! Elder Dale So this week has been interesting. We have been contacting a lot! we have a goal of at least 15 contacts a day (contacting is tracting). We have to talk to so many people but our area is so small everyone gives us the ´´no jovenes, estamos ocupados. que crees que tengo trabajo. que crees que estoy bañando mi bebe.´´ so many funny excuses, haha! But i still love it!
1. I went to Sahagun with Elder Clifford. Hes a cool guy. A little bit strict, but hes trying to work on his love for others. 2. Getting ready for some more progress with some kids and a lady named Lucia! They are really cool. the kids love us missionaries and lucia is someone who has had a Joseph Smith Conversion. She searched for a long time for a church that she could feel good in. she told us she found it. so yeah! 3. Its hot and Rainy 4. The food here keeps getting better. I drank something called ´´Agua Miel´´. its basically agave. I got it strait from the plant. the plant was about 11 feet tall. so look it up if you wanna know what it is, haha! Love you guys! -Elder Dale |
